Corporate Responsibility is integral to our work at The River Centre. Long before the opening of the building, we have consistently supported charitable causes benefitting the local community.
Through Open Hands and working with professional organisations such as social services, the homeless hostel, health visitors, the domestic violence refuge, Platform 51 (formerly YWCA) and others, we have provided help and material support to low income families and individuals across Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Edenbridge. We believe that by supporting those in need, people are empowered to rebuild their lives, giving them a hope and a future.
We partner with local businesses by sourcing products and services from Kent. Our hospitality services are focused on Kentish themed menus containing local fresh produce, which not only supports our local businesses, but also reduces our carbon footprint.
We aim to recycle as much waste as possible and with a modern building, energy conservation has been a key element of the design infra structure; waterless urinals being installed and the air-conditioning, heating system re-cycling part of the extracted air and re-circulating as appropriate.
We hope that you will consider holding your next event at The River Centre and look forward to discussing and developing your plans for your next event.
